About

Olivia Wimmergren is a multidisciplinary User Experience Designer dedicated to simplifying complex systems and creating intuitive, user-centered designs.

With a background in fine arts and a master’s degree in User Experience Design, Olivia blends creative problem-solving with technical expertise to design products that effectively address user needs, particularly in data-heavy and technical environments. Her journey into UX design was fueled by a desire to apply her creative interests in digital media to make a tangible impact, with a focus on bridging the gap between user needs and product functionality. She ensures that every design solution she creates is both aesthetically engaging and functionally seamless.

Throughout her career, Olivia has worked with a diverse range of employers, including startups and enterprise-level brands, across industries such as healthcare, technology, and digital media. One of her most notable achievements was leading the redesign of Strata Oncology’s primary test submission platform. As the sole UX designer, Olivia spearheaded the overhaul of the platform’s submission process, introducing a dynamic, modular design with a collapsible summary view. She also played a key role in developing and implementing the design system, ensuring smooth collaboration with engineering teams during the design-to-development handoff.

Olivia is committed to continuous learning and growth as a designer. She actively engages in professional development opportunities, including Nielsen Norman Group webinars, Figma’s annual conference, “Config”, and the Interaction Design Foundation to name a few. She stays on top of the latest design tool updates, but honestly, she just will not shut up about Figma.
